BATTLETECH URBAN WARFARE WORTH IT REDDIT UPDATE
Update 1.6.2 changed the minimum possible DSM from 0.50 to 0.05 which means that games started prior to update 1.6 will have their DSM set to 0.05 and scores will be modified accordingly.

Update 1.6.2 - Change to Difficulty Score multiplier
BATTLETECH URBAN WARFARE WORTH IT REDDIT FULL
To take full advantage of the DSM values, you need to start a new career. This means that, for example the Mech Weight Class Completion category will grant you 10,000 points per completed weight class at "maximum" difficulty but only 5,000 points per weight class at minimum difficulty.Ĭareer-mode games that were started BEFORE update 1.6 do NOT have values associated with the difficulty settings and, as a result, DO NOT REFLECT THE ACTUAL Difficulty Score Multiplier of the settings. This is a DIRECT Multiplier and not 'bonus' points on top of the regular points. There is no benefit to starting easy and spiking the difficulty in the end game, nor starting hard and making the game easier. Score Multiplier is based on the LOWEST settings that you have EVER applied to the game. Update 1.6 - Addition of Difficulty Score Multiplier Some folks don't quite understand how it "works" (UPDATE: turns I'm one of them because it doesn't make sense). Some people think it's broken because certain ratings "can't be obtained". Thanks in advance, and it's good to be back.Career Scoring is a touchy subject.
BATTLETECH URBAN WARFARE WORTH IT REDDIT MOD
So a question to the community: is there a "Purist" mod that strips out the advanced tech from the opposing unit pool? I don't mind it being available on a rare basis in shops (mostly Black Market, probably), but a 1/2 skull mission having vehicles with LosTech is flat ridiculous. The rarity and mystery of LosTech makes finding even a tiny piece a momentous occasion. 3025 (Level 1) is my favorite era of Battletech, and a big reason why I love this game so much. I've never used many mods, mostly just QoL improvements, and never game-altering, but this isn't how I want to play. I've progressed as far as unlocking the Weldry mission, but I may be done already. My first procedural mission didn't make me feel much better when I faced a TAG Galleon and a Scorpion II (I think?) with an UAC/5. First, the shops on the initial 4 planets were chock full of partial 'Mech parts of all weights (despite being in the barren, ass-end of space). Since some of the base mechanics were tweaked, I started a fresh campaign to get the hang of things (and to get the Ironman Campaign and Dekker lives! achievements, since Dekker living through my first campaign wasn't retroactive).īut almost immediately, I saw things I didn't like. I scored about 25k shy of Legendary, and I was eager to update and dive into new content. I figured it would take me a couple months to finish, then I could update and check out the changes. I also took a Reddit sabbatical to avoid spoilers. Since I didn't want my career score to be affected by the vast changes coming with HM, I decided to continue playing my career with Steam in Offline mode to prevent it from updating my game. Due to my lack of abundant playing time and slow, deliberate playstyle, my career was nowhere near complete when Heavy Metal dropped. So, June 2019 I came back to Battletech after a break, downloaded Flashpoint and Urban Warfare, and started my first career game, since I had previously completed the campaign.
